Nepal Maoists, a threat to India: Indian intellectuals

The intellectuals close to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – India’s major opposition party, has said that the rise of the Terrorism, Maoism and the Naxalism in the country posed biggest internal security threat to India. During a three day workshop organized by the Forum for Integrating National Security (FINS) in Deheradun, India, the intellectuals warned their central government against the ever mounting deadlock in Nepali politics and the rise of the Maoists in the Himalayan nation.

 

The workshop was well attended by the Chief Minister of Uttrakhand, Bhuwan Chand Khanduri, Parliamentarian Harbansh Kapur, the deputy coordinator of the RSS (Rastriya Swayam sevak Sangathan) Chal Kapuri and India’s ex-home secretary Dr. S. Baleria, writes Mukunda Subedi for the vernacular Dabab Weekly, dated January 17, 08 being published in Kathmandu.
